Spice Souk
CultureVisit: ~60 min
Traditional market in the Deira district, beside the north bank of the Creek, the natural channel that divides the old city. Its covered alleys sell saffron, cardamom, cumin, incense, dried herbs, nuts and dates in sacks and baskets. Until a few decades ago it was a point of maritime trade and today it still mixes shopping by locals with visitors. You reach Deira by crossing by abra from Bur Dubai.
