Elogio del Horizonte
CultureVisit: ~45 min
Concrete sculpture by Eduardo Chillida, unveiled in 1990 on Santa Catalina Hill, on the outskirts of Cimavilla. It stands about ten metres high and its concrete arms open towards the Cantabrian Sea, with a circular plaza at its feet. It is Gijón's most recognisable symbol and one of the city's natural viewpoints, with views of the bay and San Lorenzo beach.
