La Boca
CultureVisit: ~120 min
Port neighbourhood on the banks of the Riachuelo, built in the late 19th century by Italian immigrants, mostly Genoese. It is famous for its sheet-metal houses painted in vivid colours, for being the birthplace of Boca Juniors and for the mark left by the painter Benito Quinquela Martín. It is advisable to stay on the tourist streets and avoid wandering away from them.
