A stone tower built by the Genoese in 1348 as the highest point of their Galata colony, in the Karaköy-Beyoğlu district. From the upper gallery you can see the historic peninsula, the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus in 360 degrees. It is one of the busiest viewpoints in the city and the square around it fills up as the sun goes down.
