Tsūtenkaku
Tsūtenkaku is a 108-metre tower in the Shinsekai neighbourhood of Osaka. Its main observation deck sits at 91 metres and offers panoramic views of the city. On the fifth floor is a shrine dedicated to Billiken, the god of happiness, where visitors leave coins and rub the soles of his feet to make a wish. The tower is known for its LED lighting, which changes colour every two months, and for acting as a weather beacon: the lights at the top indicate the following day's forecast through different colour combinations. It can be reached on foot from several nearby train and metro stations.
