Falls Road
Falls Road is known for its political murals, which draw visitors interested in Belfast's recent history and the Northern Ireland conflict. Along this main street in west Belfast, visitors can see St. Peter's Cathedral, Clonard Monastery and Milltown Cemetery, sites linked to the Catholic and republican community. The area is also home to the Irish Republican History Museum, housed in the former Conway Mill, which also hosts small businesses, art studios and educational spaces. The neighbourhood has the Falls Leisure Centre, offering a swimming pool, gym and other sports facilities, as well as the historic Dunville Park, with green spaces and a central fountain. The Irish language has a strong presence in the area, known as Belfast's Gaeltacht Quarter.
