FACT Liverpool
FACT Liverpool is a new media arts centre with free exhibition galleries, a cinema run by Picturehouse, a bar and a café. The building, designed by Austin-Smith:Lord, opened in 2003 as the first new arts building in Liverpool in more than 60 years. Since then, FACT has presented more than 350 new and digital artworks by artists such as Pipilotti Rist, Nam June Paik, Agnès Varda and Wu Tsang. It is an associate venue of the Liverpool Biennial and has hosted events such as a Q&A session with Quentin Tarantino in 2007 and the world premiere of the documentary Kenny in 2017. It currently offers three free exhibitions exploring themes such as family, music and the internet, along with a programme of events, talks and screenings of independent and new-release film. Access to the galleries is free seven days a week.
