Visitors can walk through its central and side naves, admire the choir, the organ with its horizontal trumpet pipes, and chapels such as those of Santa Bárbara and the Encarnación, which hold altarpieces, sculptures and paintings from different periods. Guided tours give access to the rooftops, from where there is a panoramic view of the city taking in the Alcazaba, Gibralfaro and the cathedral's own tower. During special events, such as the start of the Málaga fair, the fireworks display can be watched from the heights of the cathedral.
