Shibuya Public Hall
The Shibuya Public Hall, now known as LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, is a theatre and concert hall in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Opened in 1964 for the Olympic Games, where it hosted the weightlifting events, it has been the stage for historic concerts by international artists such as U2, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Rory Gallagher and Iron Maiden, and for numerous live shows by Japanese bands. The building closed for renovation in 2015 and reopened in 2019 under the name LINE CUBE SHIBUYA. Its current programme includes rock, pop and classical music concerts and family events such as the rakugo “Shibuya Family Yose”. It is located at 〒150-0042 東京都渋谷区宇田川町1−1, about a 13-minute walk from Shibuya station.
