Portobello Road
Portobello Road is a street in Notting Hill known for its street market, where on Saturdays visitors can browse stalls selling second-hand clothing, antiques, fresh food and assorted goods along nearly a kilometre. The street stands out for its Victorian architecture, with terraces and shops packed into a winding layout, and for the presence of the Electric Cinema, one of the oldest cinemas in the UK. Every August, the Portobello Film Festival takes place at various points along the street, adding a cultural atmosphere to the area. Portobello Road is also famous for appearing in films such as 'Notting Hill' and 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks', which has turned some of its corners, such as the blue door, into sought-after spots for tourists.
