Calanques National Park
Calanques National Park is a protected natural area on the Mediterranean coast of France, between Marseille, Cassis and La Ciotat. Created in 2012, it is one of Europe's first peri-urban national parks and covers 8,300 hectares of land and 43,500 hectares of sea. Its main attractions include the coves of Sormiou, Morgiou, Port-Miou, Sugiton and En-Vau, as well as the Cosquer Cave. Visitors can hike along 23 marked trails, take part in watersports, discover cultural heritage sites such as the Château d'If, and join events organised by the park. The park office is at 141 Avenue du Prado, Marseille, and provides practical information for planning a visit.
