St James's Palace
CultureVisit: ~15 min
Red-brick palace built by Henry VIII in the 1530s, at the end of St James's Street, next to Pall Mall. It was the main residence of English monarchs for centuries, and even today the British court is officially called the Court of St James's. It cannot be visited inside: it is viewed from the street, above all its Tudor gatehouse with the clock.
