Madrid Cable Car
The Madrid Cable Car is a gondola lift system connecting Paseo del Pintor Rosales with the Casa de Campo, passing over the Parque del Oeste rose garden, Príncipe Pío station, the Hermitage of San Antonio de la Florida and the Manzanares river. The journey takes 11 minutes and covers 2,457 metres, reaching a maximum height of 40 metres. It has 80 cabins with room for five or six people. Opened in 1969, it was run by Parques Reunidos and, from 2018, by the EMT. It is currently closed for refurbishment works, with reopening planned for the first quarter of 2027. Nearby are the Temple of Debod, the Royal Palace and the Parque de Atracciones.
