Church of Santos Justo y Pastor
12th-century Romanesque church built in rubble masonry on an old hermitage, next to the Azoguejo, on the other side of the aqueduct. Inside, much of the apse preserves Romanesque mural paintings with the Pantocrator in a mandorla surrounded by the Tetramorph, biblical scenes, the Crucifixion, the Deposition, the Last Supper and the Arrest of Christ, as well as motifs of Eastern inspiration such as elephants and birds. Its tower, with openings divided by columns, and two doorways also stand out, one visible only from inside and the other a polychrome late Romanesque one. It houses the Romanesque carving of the Cristo de los Gascones, with articulated arms, an object of veneration carried in procession by a Segovian brotherhood.
