Baroque and Neoclassical basilica in the Estrela district of Lisbon, commissioned by Queen Maria I in fulfilment of a promise for having a male heir. It was consecrated in 1790. Its white dome, visible from afar, the interior of coloured marbles and the queen's mausoleum stand out. It is opposite the Estrela garden and next to the route of tram 28.
