NatureVisit: ~75 minFree
Botanic garden opened in 1816 by Governor George Don, a few steps from the centre, in the Alameda area. It brings together plants from Mediterranean and other climates, with paths, tree-shaded corners and ponds. It is a green space of about six hectares at the foot of the Rock, which also keeps a small collection of fauna in the neighbouring park.
