Kyoto International Manga Museum
LeisureVisit: ~90 min
Museum opened in 2006 in the former Tatsuike school, in central Kyoto, next to Karasuma Oike metro station. It brings together hundreds of thousands of manga volumes from all periods, some of them on a long open shelf where they can be read freely. It also holds historic magazines and posters. The school building preserves the classrooms and a grass courtyard where people read in the sun.
