The Jewish Museum in Prague comprises a group of historic synagogues, the Old Jewish Cemetery and other monuments in Josefov, the city's former Jewish quarter. Visitors can tour the Maisel Synagogue and the Spanish Synagogue, which host permanent exhibitions on the history of the Jews in the Czech lands, as well as the Pinkas Synagogue, which holds a memorial to the victims of the Shoah and a display of children's drawings from the Terezín ghetto. The museum also preserves an extensive collection of objects, books and archives documenting Jewish life and culture in Bohemia and Moravia, and organises educational and cultural activities across its various venues.
