The Jewish Town Hall in Prague is a late-Baroque building located in the Josefov district, opposite the Old-New Synagogue. Its richly decorated façade features a rococo turret with latticework, crowned by a gilded sphere and a stylised Star of David. The tower has a clock with Roman numerals, and on the gable facing the Old-New Synagogue there is a clock with a Hebrew face whose hands turn in the opposite direction to usual, designed by the royal clockmaker Sebastian Laudensberger in 1764. The building was the seat of Jewish self-government and the rabbinical court, and today houses the Jewish Community of Prague and other institutions. Its ground floor has a kosher restaurant. Although the building is closed to the public, its exterior and clocks can be seen from the street.
