Shopping complex in Japantown, San Francisco's Japanese neighbourhood, opened in 1968. It includes the Kinokuniya, Kintetsu and Miyako malls, with shops, restaurants and a Japanese bookshop. In the plaza stands the five-tier Peace Pagoda, the work of Yoshiro Taniguchi. The neighbourhood is one of the few Japantowns left in the United States.
