Steel sculpture of about 96 metres, a needle that rises in front of the Hala Stulecia. It was erected in 1948 for the Exhibition of the Recovered Territories, to a design by Stanisław Hempel. It is one of the symbols of the post-war period in the city and is close to the multimedia fountain.
