Marine aquarium in Rio's port area, in the Gamboa district, opened in 2016. It is the largest marine aquarium in South America. Its main tank holds about 3.5 million litres and is explored through a glass tunnel where sharks, rays and large fish swim past. It brings together thousands of animals of hundreds of species. It is a short distance from the Museum of Tomorrow and the Olympic Boulevard.
