Bronze monument to the Lusitanian chieftain Viriato, who resisted Rome in the 2nd century BC and whom Zamora claims as a symbol. A work by the sculptor Eduardo Barrón, unveiled in 1903, it stands on a pedestal in Viriato Square, in the very centre of the city, next to the Parador.
