Omoide Yokocho
Food & drinkVisit: ~75 min
A group of narrow alleys next to the railway tracks of Shinjuku Station, on its west side, with dozens of tiny yakitori and izakaya bars. It began as a post-war flea market and keeps an air of another era, with red lanterns and charcoal smoke. Each place has very few stools, so you eat and drink elbow to elbow.
