San Juan de Dios Museum (Casa de los Pisa)
The Casa de los Pisa was built shortly after the conquest of Granada in 1492. Juan de Dios died there on 8 March 1550, taken in by the Pisa family. The family died out in the mid-19th century and the Order of San Juan de Dios bought the building in 1927. The San Juan de Dios Archive-Museum was created in January 1931 and is run by the Order's Baetic Province, with the aim of preserving and promoting its cultural heritage. The collection includes images and portraits of the saint, among them "The Death of San Juan de Dios" and "San Juan de Dios with the Child Jesus in His Arms", alongside works such as a "Virgin of America" painted on leather from the 15th-16th centuries, a "Virgin and Child" from the circle of Alonso Cano, a 19th-century ivory St George and an 18th-century Meissen porcelain vase. It is on Calle Convalecencia and has wheelchair access. The visit is guided.
