Seville Cathedral

Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the largest church by floor area according to the Guinness Book of Records. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, visitors walk through its Gothic naves, Renaissance and Baroque chapels, and admire the High Altarpiece, considered the largest in Christendom. The visit includes access to the Giralda, a former Almohad tower 104.5 metres high offering a panoramic view of Seville, and the Patio de los Naranjos, the former sahn of the mosque. Inside are the tomb of Christopher Columbus, the Royal Chapel with the remains of Ferdinand III and Alfonso X, and masterpieces by Murillo and Zurbarán. The cathedral holds daily liturgical services and offers accessibility services such as braille leaflets, sign-language guides and wheelchairs. With more than two million visitors a year, it is Seville's most iconic landmark.
