Bodleian Library
The Bodleian is the main library of the University of Oxford and one of the oldest in Europe. Its historic core, the Old Library, is arranged around the Old Schools Quadrangle, entered through the Great Gate on Catte Street and home to a statue of the Earl of Pembroke. The old building houses the Divinity School, a 15th-century room with a lavishly carved stone ceiling and windows on both sides, and Duke Humfrey's Library, which can be visited on guided tours of about 30 minutes. The complex extends towards the Radcliffe Camera, to which it is linked by the tunnel known as the Gladstone Link, and towards the Weston Library, which has free entry and exhibition rooms. All guided tours include stairs.
