The chapel is the seat of the Brotherhood of Montserrat, on Calle Cristo del Calvario. Leonardo de Figueroa designed it and it was built between 1704 and 1710; Diego Antonio Díaz and Matías José de Figueroa later remodelled it, and the latter probably designed the façade. It first belonged to the Brotherhood of La Antigua y Siete Dolores, which was dissolved; the building passed to the State with the confiscation of church property and, in 1939, was given to the Brotherhood of Montserrat, which had previously had a chapel in the courtyard of the convent of San Pablo, demolished when the street was widened. It is Baroque in style, with a single rectangular nave, a barrel vault and a false transept with a groin vault. The façade is of glazed-finish brick and is crowned by a triple niche with Baroque mouldings. Among its titular images are Nuestra Señora de Montserrat and the Santísimo Cristo de la Conversión del Buen Ladrón, a carving by Juan de Mesa from 1620. The brotherhood processes on Good Friday.
