St Michael's Church (Michel)
CultureVisit: ~60 min
St Michael's Church, the Michel, is the symbol of Hamburg and its largest Protestant Baroque church. The present one was built in the 18th century after the destruction of the previous one and was rebuilt after a fire at the beginning of the 20th century. Its tower, with an enormous clock, can be seen from the port, and you can climb it to see the city and the Elbe. Beneath the church there is a large crypt.
