Grade I Anglican church designed by the Scottish architect George Steuart, with the foundation stone laid in 1790 and opened in 1792. Its nave is circular, which is very unusual in England. Charles Darwin was baptised here in 1809. The scene of Scrooge's grave in the 1984 film A Christmas Carol was shot in its old churchyard. It is next to The Quarry.
