Roman Theatre of Cartagena
Theatre of ancient Carthago Nova, built in the late 1st century BC under Augustus and dedicated to the princes Gaius and Lucius Caesar. It lay buried for centuries beneath houses and the ruined cathedral of Santa María la Vieja, and was rediscovered in 1988. It preserves the cavea, part of the stage and the seating, and is entered from the Roman Theatre Museum, in Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
