Palacio de Viana
A stately palace on Plaza de Don Gome in Córdoba, with twelve courtyards, a garden and the stables, plus a house that was lived in until 1980 and preserves furniture and works of art collected since 1425. Its origins date back to the 14th century, and it passed through several noble families. The courtyards have their own names: Recibo, los Gatos, los Naranjos, las Rejas, la Madama, las Columnas, la Alberca, el Pozo, los Jardineros, la Capilla, el Archivo and la Cancela. Inside there is a Baroque Room and a Tapestry Room with its collection of tapestries and works by Julio Romero de Torres. The courtyard ticket also includes the institutional area on the ground floor; the interior can only be seen on a guided tour of about 40 minutes, in Spanish with written translations in English and French.
