Majorelle Garden
Garden created from 1923 by the French painter Jacques Majorelle, who painted the Art Deco-style studio and many of the walls and pots an intense blue (the so-called Majorelle blue). It brings together cacti, palm trees, bamboo and water lilies brought from several continents. Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé bought it in 1980 and saved it from development. The studio building houses the Berber Museum. It is in the Guéliz district, outside the medina.
