CultureVisit: ~15 min
Public fountain from the 16th century, of the Saadian period, next to the Mouassine Mosque, in the district of the same name. Its name literally means drink and look in Moroccan Arabic, and refers to the custom of drinking water and stopping to take in the surroundings. It consists of a carved cedar wood pediment and stone troughs, and is a good example of the tradition of fountains for travellers and neighbours in the medina.
