Clérigos Tower
CultureVisit: ~45 min
Baroque bell tower of the Clérigos church, the work of the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, built in the mid-18th century. About 75 metres high, it was for decades the tallest structure in Portugal and remains one of the symbols of Porto. You climb a staircase of more than two hundred steps to a viewpoint overlooking the historic centre, the River Douro and the city's reddish rooftops.
