Church of Domine Quo Vadis
CultureVisit: ~15 min
Church at the crossing of the Via Appia Antica and the Via Ardeatina, built where tradition places the appearance of Christ to Peter as he fled Rome. Its present form dates from 1637. The stone with the footprints is a copy; the original is in San Sebastiano fuori le Mura. Turismo Roma suggests they may have been a pagan votive offering.
