London City Hall
London's City Hall is in Southwark, on the south bank of the River Thames, next to Tower Bridge, and forms part of the More London development, which includes offices and shops. Designed by Norman Foster, the building has a bulbous shape derived from a sphere, with no conventional front or back, and inside a 500-metre helical ramp climbs its ten floors, offering views of the interior. On the top floor is an exhibition and meeting space called 'London's Living Room', with a viewing terrace occasionally open to the public. Beside the building is a sunken amphitheatre called The Scoop, used in summer for open-air performances.
