Canalejas Park
NatureVisit: ~30 minFree
Next to Avenida de Loring and the marina, this 19th-century garden is the oldest in Alicante. Strolling among its flowerbeds you come across the fountain of El Niño Flautista (the Boy Flute Player) and two pairs of stone dogs and lions brought from the Buenavista estate, as well as the monument to Carlos Arniches and a small stone map of Spain. Several monumental fig trees dominate the space, including a century-old Ficus elastica.
