Neo-Renaissance building opened in 1885, the work of the architects Josef Zítek and Josef Schulz, on the banks of the Vltava. It is the home of the Czech Philharmonic. Its main hall, the Dvořák Hall, is named after the composer, who conducted the orchestra's inaugural concert here in 1896. It also has a contemporary art gallery, and the façade is adorned with statues of composers and artists.
