The park is divided into two zones separated by a road: Area A, wooded in character, and Area B, which is home to an athletics stadium and an open-air stage. On Sundays, the park serves as a meeting point for fans of Japanese rock, jugglers, comedians, martial arts clubs and cosplayers. In spring, thousands of people flock to the park to see the cherry blossoms during hanami. The park has picnic areas, cycle lanes, bicycle hire, public sports courts and a fenced area where dogs can run off the leash, its ground covered in wood shavings and divided into three sections according to the size of the animals.
