Saint-Paul Church, Strasbourg
The Church of St Paul is a Neo-Gothic church built between 1892 and 1897 for Strasbourg's German Lutheran garrison. It stands out for its great height and its 76-metre spires, which make it visible from afar, and for its location at the southern tip of an island in the River Ill. The building has 19 portals and entrances, an unusually high number, and inside it houses a main organ from 1897, one of the largest in Alsace, listed as a Historic Monument, as well as a second organ installed in 1976 in the transept. The church has been listed as a Historic Monument of France since 1998.
