Areopagus
CultureVisit: ~30 min
A limestone rock north-west of the Acropolis where the oldest council and court of classical Athens met, judging homicide cases. According to the Acts of the Apostles (ch. 17), St Paul preached here in the 1st century AD. You climb it by steps carved into the rock, which are slippery, and from them you can see the Agora.
