Puerta de Toledo
CultureVisit: ~15 min
Neoclassical triumphal arch on the roundabout of the same name, at the southern edge of the historic centre, where Calle de Toledo begins. It was planned during the reign of Joseph Bonaparte and completed under Ferdinand VII, in 1827, to a design by Antonio López Aguado. It marked one of the city's old entrances and today stands free-standing amid the traffic, near the La Latina district.
