Montparnasse Tower
The Montparnasse Tower is a 209-metre-high, 59-storey skyscraper in the Montparnasse district. Built between 1969 and 1973, it is the tallest building within inner Paris. Its observation deck, on the 56th floor, offers a 360° panoramic view of the city, with visibility of up to 40 km on clear days. The Ciel de Paris restaurant is on the same floor. The rooftop terrace is only accessible on foot. There is also a virtual reality experience called 'Paris Time Travel' celebrating the history of Paris. On Tuesdays, 45-minute yoga sessions are held on the terrace. The observation deck has been closed to the public since 31 March 2026 for renovation works that will last several years.
