Waterloo Bridge
CultureVisit: ~30 min
Bridge over the Thames linking the Strand with the South Bank. The current concrete one was finished in 1945 to a design by Giles Gilbert Scott; it replaced John Rennie's stone bridge of 1817. It is called “the ladies' bridge” because much of its construction, in the middle of the war, was done by women. It offers views of Westminster and the City skyline.
