The Alsatian Museum occupies several half-timbered Renaissance houses on the Quai Saint-Nicolas, on the banks of the River Ill. Inside, a route through three buildings shows reconstructions of a 'Stùb' (the traditional living room), a kitchen and an apothecary, along with more than 5,000 objects documenting domestic life, costumes, toys, religious imagery and traditional products such as winemaking and Munster cheese. One section is devoted to the cultural heritage of the Jews of Alsace. The museum is closed for works until 2028.
