Caños de Carmona
Los Caños de Carmona are the remains of a Roman aqueduct, later rebuilt by the Almohads, that supplied water to Seville until its demolition in 1912. Three sections of brick arches survive in the city: a single arcade on Calle Cigüeña, a double arcade on Calle Luis Montoto and another single arcade at the start of Calle Luis Montoto. Next to one of the sections is the tiled image of the Virgen de las Madejas, a ceramic piece installed in 1993 that commemorates the image once venerated there.
