Palace of the Dukes of Medinaceli, begun in the late 15th century by Pedro Enríquez and extended by his son, the Marquis of Tarifa, on his return from a pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 1519. It blends Mudéjar, Gothic and Italian Renaissance styles: a main courtyard with plasterwork and one of the largest tile collections in the world, Roman sculptures and gardens. It has been used as a filming location, including for Lawrence of Arabia.
