Salamanca Automobile History Museum
The Salamanca Automobile History Museum occupies a building that was the city's first electricity production plant, opposite the Casa Lis. Its rooms display around 90 vehicles from a collection of more than 200, with pieces such as the 1885 Benz Patent-Motorwagen tricycle, a 1922 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, a Cadillac Fleetwood 75 that belonged to Franco and an unrestored 1930 Hispano-Suiza. The exhibition is completed by motorcycles, documents and accessories, and is renewed through temporary exhibitions. The museum has a library, newspaper archive, video library and archive, and offers guided tours by appointment, an audio guide and guides in several languages via QR codes. It is adapted for people with visual and physical disabilities, with tactile elements, Braille, ramps and lifts.
