Monte Victoria
Monte Victoria is an urban hill 193 metres high, set within a forested park where visitors can walk trails among pines, holm oaks and Mediterranean scrub, and observe a varied community of ferns and birds, as well as remains of old vineyard and olive cultivation. From the summit there are panoramic views of the sea, the port, the cathedral and the silhouette of Gibralfaro Castle, plus a unique perspective of the castle itself set against the city. The hill is accessible on foot from central Málaga and has been the focus of community reforestation and environmental care initiatives, reflecting the value local residents place on this natural space.
